ABSTRACT

This review presents the results of the Round Table “Methods of Comparative and Digital Demography in Characterizing the Current Demographic Situation in Russia and its Regions”, held by the Department of Demography at Moscow State University on October 11, 2025. The Round Table was dedicated to the 270th anniversary of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the 10th anniversary of the department. During the event, presentations were made on the Department of Demography's achievements, the specifics of using classical and modern research methods in demography, and applied research in digital demography. Particular attention was paid to the issue of reviving high-quality demographic education in our country. Honored guests of the Round Table also made interesting presentations.
