ABSTRACT
In this review article, the authors review the most notable presentations presented at the All-Russian Scientific Conference as part of the XIX Kovalevsky Readings, held on November 13–15, 2025 at St. Petersburg State University (SPbU). The conference, devoted to topical issues of Russian sociology and related disciplines brought together leading researchers, and early-career researchers from all over the country. Special attention was paid to issues of social stratification, the transformation of family and educational institutions, as well as the impact of digitalization on social processes. The latest trends in the changing structure of Russian society, the dynamics of the standard of living of various social groups and the problems of social inequality were discussed. The panelists stressed the importance of supporting youth initiatives and creating conditions for their successful integration into professional and public life. The focus on interdisciplinary approaches was another distinctive feature of the XIX Kovalev readings. Sociologists actively interacted with representatives of political science, economics, cultural studies and psychology, striving for a more complete and comprehensive understanding of modern social phenomena.
