ABSTRACT

The article is devoted to the meaning and role of education for the work activity of a modern person. Currently, there is a paradoxical situation in the labor market – on the one hand, there is a severe shortage of personnel, and on the other hand, employers’ demands for the level of training and competencies of employees are increasing. In this regard, the question of the value and significance of education for workers of various socio-demographic characteristics arises. Based on a questionnaire survey of workers in various fields of activity in the Republic of Tatarstan (n=1271) and in-depth interviews (n=17), as well as secondary analysis of data from all-Russian surveys conducted by VTsIOM on the topic of this work, the importance of both basic and additional education for workers was considered of different ages and different fields of activity – from industrial workers to business owners. Based on the data obtained, it was revealed that basic higher education is more valued by older people, paying attention not only to its actual availability, but also to the quality of receipt. The frequency of receiving additional education and plans for further training does not have a significant connection with the age of the respondents, and largely depends on the field of activity and position of the respondents. Business owners demonstrate the greatest readiness for additional education. Among hired workers, those most likely to plan to receive additional education in the coming year are education workers, representatives of the public sector and the information technology sector, and workers in industry and trade are the least likely to talk about plans to receive additional education.

ABSTRACT

The article presents a description and methodological generalization of the materials of a field sociological study devoted to the problems of identifying and analyzing the attitude of modern Russian employers to the assessment and organization of employment of people of older (retirement and pre-retirement) age. The study was conducted by the method of focused group interviews with representatives of employers. The article presents the arguments of the participants of the groups on various aspects of involvement in the work of the older generation. Such aspects as labor discipline, attitude to work, attitude to retirement, strategic decisions to continue or end a career are considered. It is worth noting that the above statements are only representations of employers about people of the older age group. Moreover, employers talk about active pensioners, those who come to the personnel management service and talk about their work. Surprisingly, very few working pensioners and pre-retirees caused a negative reaction from the personnel service. This can be justified by the active lifestyle of the older generation. Almost all working pensioners lead an active lifestyle, play sports according to their capabilities, which allows them to maintain physical and working shape. The closer the retirement age approaches, the less the desire to retire. And this is not always due to financial difficulties. It is more important to be in a team, to feel useful to society. There are isolated cases of demotion at retirement age. Conclusions are formulated and recommendations are presented on improving the system of involving older people in labor activity from the perspective of solving the social and organizational and managerial tasks that arise at the same time.

ABSTRACT

The article is devoted to the study of the current state of the problem of cybercrime in Russia. A qualitative sociological study was conducted: a survey of experts involved in the study of the problem of cybercrime. The study was aimed at obtaining an expert assessment of the current state of cybercrime in Russia; identifying the reasons for the deterioration of the situation in the country with the problem of cybercrime; determining the most effective strategies for solving this problem. Among the most dangerous features of cybercrime, experts noted its latent nature; increasing scale and relevance of the problem, its transition to a threat on a national scale; low efficiency of investigation of cybercrimes by law enforcement agencies; increased economic and social damage from cybercrime; lowering the threshold for entry and joining the cybercriminal community; establishing cybercrime as a full-fledged industry. The measures proposed by experts to solve the problem can be combined into the following key areas: larger, deeper and more systematic work with the population to increase awareness, digital literacy and education; modernization of law enforcement agencies, which were not ready for the rapid transition of crime to the digital sector; closer international cooperation, the need for which arises from the cross-border nature of cybercrime; solving the problem of shortage of highly qualified personnel for the entire Russian IT industry; providing additional funding for projects to combat cybercrime; effective and prompt interaction between law enforcement agencies, banks and telecom operators to block fraudulent resources and numbers; improvement of Russian legislation in the field of information technology; deeper support for Russian startups and initiatives in the field of information security and public education.

ABSTRACT

The collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 caused a significant increase in the migration influx of the Armenian population to a more prosperous Russia and fundamentally changed the composition, economic potential, and inclusion of the Armenian diaspora in the host society. The aim of the study is to assess employment and the level of socio-economic well-being as an indicator of the peculiarities and success of the adaptation process in three Russian regions with the largest number of Armenian communities: in Krasnodar, Stavropol Territories, as well as in Moscow and the Moscow region. The article is based on the analysis of the results of the joint project of Russia and Armenia "Socio-economic potential of the Armenian Diaspora in the context of integration processes in the EAEU". The methodological strategy includes a questionnaire survey of representatives of the Armenian Diaspora and an in-depth interview of the Armenian Diaspora in these regions. The article provides a critical analysis of the scientific literature on the social and socio-economic well-being of social groups, shows that the concept of "socio–economic well-being" is a complex phenomenon that requires clarification of interpretation, operationalization and measurement methods. The campaign, empirical indicators, and methodology for calculating indices of socio-economic well-being are substantiated. The analysis of employment, social and economic well–being in the economic sphere (job satisfaction, relationships at work; opportunities to provide for the family, satisfaction with the financial situation) and the social sphere (family relations, satisfaction with the place and living conditions, education, health, vacation and free time, physical education and sports), assessment of social mood, prospects and opportunities for the implementation of life plans. It is concluded that, in general, the level of socio-economic well-being demonstrates the relative stability and active involvement of Armenians in the general Russian environment, especially in the Krasnodar Territory. The results of the study can be used by the authorities in the preparation and implementation of a set of measures aimed at creating conditions for a more complete use of the socio-economic potential of the Armenian Diaspora for the development of the Russian Federation.

ABSTRACT

The article analyzes the quality of employment of working people with disabilities and their quality of life. The purpose of the study is to compare the quality of employment and the quality of life of working people with disabilities and working people without disabilities. The quality of employment and quality of life is analyzed by the author, first of all, in terms of subjective indicators. The hypothesis of the study is that the subjective characteristics of the quality of employment of working people with disabilities are higher than those of working people without disabilities. The quality of life is understood by the author as a person's subjective perception of his position in the social structure of society. The quality of employment is considered through such characteristics as the suitability of the workplace to the needs of the employee and the satisfaction of the employee with various aspects of the job. To analyze the quality of life, we used such indicators as a change in financial situation, a subjective assessment on a scale of poverty / wealth, a subjective assessment of respect / disrespect, a subjective assessment of the presence / absence of rights, satisfaction with life in general, concern that a person will not be able to provide for himself necessary, satisfaction with the financial situation. The quality of employment is analyzed through working conditions, and satisfaction with various aspects of work. Working conditions are considered through the severity of work, the presence of stressful situations in the workplace, the presence of factors harmful to health in the workplace, workplace safety, accidents at work. Job satisfaction is analyzed through satisfaction with wages, satisfaction with job reliability, satisfaction with duties that a person performs at work, satisfaction with workplace, satisfaction with working conditions, distance to work, professional satisfaction and moral satisfaction. As a result of the study, the hypothesis was partially confirmed, it was found that the quality of employment is higher for people with disabilities belonging to the first and second groups than for working people, for people with disabilities of the third group, the subjective characteristics of the quality of employment are approximately the same, and sometimes even worse, than for working people. people without disabilities.
