ABSTRACT
The article analyses the state of the scientific discourse on the problems of employment de-standardisation under the influence of the current macro shocks formed by the increasing international sanctions pressure on Russia. The data for the analysis were the materials received by the authors of the article from the speakers who presented the results of their scientific research at the international academic discussion «Employment de-standardization in reshaping economy» on March 16, 2023 within the VII St. Petersburg International Labour Forum. To test the hypothesis that the academic discussion field is elastic in responding to current changes in the context, the texts presented by the speakers were analysed by ranking the words specific to the topic under discussion according to the frequency of their use. In order to assess the dynamics of changes in the academic discussion field, we compare the data for 2023 with data from a similar Labour Forum discussion platform in 2022. We show that researchers continue to support a wide range of issues under the theme of destandardisation of employment, including challenges of work; pay; quality of the workforce; living standards of workers' households; quality of working life and job satisfaction; telecommuting; and urban and rural employment. The discussion field (exemplified by the academic discussion in the Labour Forum) is generally elastic in its response to these changes in the context. In the absence of direct reference to the military operation and sanctions, researchers have introduced them as factors, variables, conditions of their ongoing research. The article also provides suggestions from the participants of the academic discussion to the Programme Committee of the Labour Forum.
