The publication supports scientific search and discussions on various economic, sociological and philosophical problems of the level and quality of life of the population.

The journal is supplied to the libraries of the Russian Federation and partner organisations abroad. The journal ‘Standard of Living of the Population of Russian Regions’ publishes the results of scientific research and practical developments, analytical materials of leading specialists in Russia, Near and Far Abroad.

Articles in the journal are published free of charge, no royalties are paid. The editorial board does not charge the authors for the placement of articles in the public domain, reviewing, as well as the content of the website and electronic deposit of manuscripts.

The journal has received public recognition and is intended for a wide range of readers interested in solving the problems of living standards and quality of life in Russia: employees of executive and legislative authorities at the federal and regional levels, labour and social protection agencies, trade unions and public organisations, state extra-budgetary funds, relevant scientific organisations, as well as for teachers of higher educational institutions, doctoral students, postgraduates, applicants and students studying social and economic sciences. The majority of members of the Editorial Board and Editorial Board of the journal are doctors of sciences, the share of foreign members of the Editorial Board and Editorial Board is 20%.

The main objectives of the journal are:

  • information exchange and dissemination of scientific results and achievements and other innovations in the field of research on the problems of the level and quality of life, as well as related areas;
  • substantiation, development and dissemination of the concept of human potential development and improvement of living standards and quality of life as an integral idea of innovative development of society;
  • expansion of opportunities for indexing scientific publications in key Russian and international citation databases.

The journal as a part of the Russian and international scientific information system participates in solving the following tasks:

  • reflection of the results of research, scientific-practical and experimental activities of specialists, postgraduate students and applicants dealing with topical problems of the standard of living and quality of life;
  • formation of the scientific component of the university environment and dissemination of the main achievements of science in the field of living standards and quality of life;
  • identification of scientific potential for the introduction of advanced scientific achievements to improve the standard of living and quality of life in Russia and other countries of the world;
  • organisation of open scientific polemics, contributing to the improvement of the quality of dissertation research and the efficiency of expert examination of scientific works;
  • ensuring publicity and openness in the reflection of scientific problems of international research teams in the field of research of problems of the standard of living and quality of life.

The journal provides direct open access to its content based on the following principle: free open access to the results of research contributes to the increase of global knowledge sharing. Full-text electronic versions of articles and all other published materials are placed in free access on the official website of the journal on the Internet from the moment of their publication. Materials published on the Journal's website can be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, found or attached to the full text of the relevant articles, used for indexing, entered as data into software or used for other lawful purposes in the absence of financial, legal and technical barriers, except those governing access to the Internet proper, but with an obligatory link to the Journal's website.
